A sewage backup isn't a job for a mop and bucket. Our Sewage Cleanup crews arrive in full PPE, classify the contamination, and follow IICRC S500 blackwater protocols from the first step.

Containment goes up before extraction starts, because the goal on a contamination job isn't just removing the water, it's making sure the contamination doesn't spread to rooms that were never affected.
None of this is unique to a big loss either — the same standard applies whether it's a single-room sewage cleanup call or a larger one.
We built this list around what typically goes wrong when sewage cleanup gets handled by a generalist rather than a specialist.
Ask for credentials before the work starts, not after — a legitimate sewage cleanup specialist will have them ready.
S500 protocol governs PPE, containment, and disposal on every Category 3 call we handle.
We isolate the affected zone before starting any removal to limit cross-contamination.
Disposal documentation is provided as part of the job record.
Sewage backups get priority dispatch given the health risk involved.
We don't treat sewage cleanup as a single generic task — each part of the process below gets its own specific approach.
Water gets classified as Category 3 blackwater on arrival, which sets the entire response protocol.
Extraction equipment dedicated to contaminated water keeps cross-contamination from clean-water jobs.
Carpet, pad, and drywall that contacted blackwater almost always require removal rather than drying in place.
Disinfection follows removal of unsalvageable materials, covering every remaining surface in the affected zone.
Sewage odor gets treated at the source through disinfection and controlled airflow, not masked with fragrance.
We verify the space meets a safe standard before calling the job complete.
This is the same sequence every sewage cleanup job follows, regardless of size.
Dispatch gathers just enough detail to load the right equipment before the truck leaves.
Crews staged locally get to your address quickly, equipment already loaded for Sewage Cleanup work.
You approve the number before equipment turns on — no surprise invoice after the fact.
We stand behind the result with a documented sign-off, not just a verbal assurance.
"They didn't rush the disinfection step even though it clearly slowed the job down."
Andre P., Flemington"Professional and thorough despite how unpleasant the situation was."
Naomi F., Flemington"The odor was completely gone after their disinfection process, not just covered up."
Katrina L., Flemington"Our crawl space took a sewage backup and they treated it with the same containment protocol as a finished room."
Preston G., Flemington"A rental property backup happened while our tenant was away and they coordinated everything with us remotely."
Victor N., Flemington"A backup in our restaurant kitchen got same-day response given the health code concerns, and they understood the urgency immediately."
Grace T., FlemingtonThese are the questions we hear most often about sewage cleanup, gathered from real calls, not a generic template list.
Our sewage cleanup coverage spans 17745, with trucks positioned to reach any address in the service area quickly.
Coverage extends past the immediate area, so an outlying Flemington address isn't treated as a lower priority for sewage cleanup.
